Mispeldonk nature reserve

Mispeldonk is a beautiful nature reserve with different types of landscapes. Most of the area is owned by Natuurpunt and joins the Mechels Broek and Cassenbroek. Together they form an almost contiguous nature reserve.

Zellaer Castle

At the end of the nineteenth century, the dilapidated castle made way for a pseudo-medieval moated castle. The castle with drawbridge, battlements and loopholes is an expression of the nineteenth-century spirit of romanticism with nostalgia for a glorious past. In 2001 it was protected as a monument for this reason.

In the park grounds of Zellaer Castle you can enjoy beautiful walks. In the park there are some old monumental trees that are at least 200 years old.

The park domain is freely accessible throughout the year. Would you like to visit the castle and the park domain Zellaer with a guide? This is possible on the first Sunday of the month at 2 pm. The guided visit takes about 2 hours and costs €5 per person. Reservations: gidsen@kasteelzellaer.be
