Room

August

The former swimming pool of Mechelen, built in combination with a bunkhouse, was built between the Dijle and the Keerdok. The plans for the creation of a swimming dock date back to 1897. At the outbreak of the First World War they were resumed to protect the many unemployed from deportation to Germany. The city made the building land available. A private company acted as builder with August Van Haesendonck as architect.

The August room has an area of 33 m² and is suitable for small groups up to 18 people.
