Brewery Het Anker

Brewery Het Anker is world-renowned for the renowned Gouden Carolus beer. It dates back to 1471 and is one of the oldest breweries in Belgium. The three copper kettles in the brewhouse date from just after World War II. 

In the nineties, the building received a major refurbishment. Charles Leclef, the fifth generation of the family, restores the old buildings and modernizes the cooling, fermentation, and storage installations. 

The multiple award-winning specialty beers Gouden Carolus Classic and Gouden Carolus Tripel are still brewed today in the authentic brewhouse with copper kettles.
