Kitchen opening hours
Lunch: 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM
Dinner: 5:30 PM to 9:30 PM (Friday and Saturday until 10:00 PM)
On Sundays, we serve our brunch from 12:30 PM to 3:00 PM. À la carte lunch is not possible then.
On Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve, we serve a festive buffet. À la carte dining is not possible on these days, à la carte lunch is.
On Christmas Day and New Year's Day, we serve a festive brunch. À la carte lunch is not possible on these days, à la carte dining is.
Culinary dining in group
From small company to large group
At Van der Valk Hotel Mechelen, groups are warmly welcome. In the Ouwen Dok restaurant, we accommodate groups of up to 30 people for a cozy dinner, under certain conditions.
For groups of 30 people or more, we are happy to reserve a separate room for your party. Room hire applies for this. You can choose a refined 3- to 6-course dinner, with all dishes served at the table.

Enjoying by the water
Terrace
From mid-May to the end of September, you can enjoy good weather on our sunny South Terrace by the water. The terrace is an extension of the restaurant, so you can choose from the same menu here.

Bernard's Bar
In Bar Bernard, you are welcome for a delicious cup of coffee, a glass of bubbles, a surprising (non-alcoholic) cocktail, or a fresh pint from the tap. Fancy a snack to go with it? You can also come to us for nibbles. Non-hotel guests are also more than welcome in Bar Bernard.
