Maneblusser
Meeting room
Maneblusser is the well-known nickname for a resident of Mechelen. That name goes back to 1687, when a man thought the St. Rombout tower was on fire. All the city rushed into action to put out the fire, but it turned out to be the moon shining through the haze. Since then, the people of Mechelen have proudly carried the name Maneblusser.
